Wayback Burgers Canada Launches Youth-Created "Berry Bonfire Shake" in Support of Big Brothers Big Sisters
Good afternoon, I wanted to share a feel-good Canadian story taking place at Wayback Burgers locations across the country on Thursday, September 24, 2026, in support of Big Brothers Big Sisters. As part of our quarterly Wayback to the Future fundraiser, Wayback Burgers Canada invited Big Brothers Big Sisters clubs from across the country to submit ideas for a special milkshake that could be featured during this year's event. The winning creation came from Firewami, a participant with Big Brothers Big Sisters in Edmonton, whose Berry Bonfire Shake was selected to be featured at all Wayback Burgers restaurants across Canada. The Berry Bonfire combines strawberry purée, cupcake syrup, caramel sauce and graham crackers, finished with mini marshmallows — and, more importantly, it will help raise additional funds for Big Brothers Big Sisters. On September 24,10% of all in-store sales at Wayback Burgers restaurants will be donated to Big Brothers Big Sisters and an additional $1 from every Berry Bonfire Shake sold will be donated to the local Big Brothers Big Sisters organization in that restaurant's community. Wayback Burgers Canada will also provide a $2,500 prize to the Edmonton club for winning the shake contest. For us, the day is about much more than burgers and milkshakes. It's an opportunity for our restaurants and guests across Canada to come together and support an organization that makes a meaningful difference in the lives of our youth.
