Case Study: RETN & Infinera deliver hyperscale bandwidth from Nordics to Eastern Europe for large global tech company in record time

RETN achieves record-timing provision of multi-terabit bandwidth on the Nordic-Eastern Europe route, thanks to the ICE6 optic engine from Infinera that powers RETN's network. RETN was asked to deliver large capacity on a custom-specific route for a multinational technology client, providing diversity from other suppliers between the Nordics and Eastern Europe, and doing so extremely quickly. With some providers typically taking six months, the customer had far more urgent requirements and only a little over a month to deploy and test capacity - time was of the essence.

Asco TLC, an Italian internet service provider, joined forces with RETN to address the growing threat of cyber-attacks and ensure the best possible service for its customers. With cyber threats becoming increasingly advanced, Asco TLC recognised the need for a reliable partner to mitigate these risks, whilst procuring high-performance IP bandwidth to best serve its customers.

RETN Network News: 3 New PoPs in London, Poznań, and Tallinn

Our network grows stronger with three new Points of Presence (PoPs) in strategic locations offering all RETN services, reinforcing our commitment to delivering flexible and reliable high-quality connectivity solutions. 
In London, we've deployed a PoP at Lumen DC in Islington, enabling us to provide IP transit services to a new customer and expand our presence in one of the world's major cities.
Our expansion in Poznań brings us to Talex DC on Karpia Street, reinforcing our presence in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), particularly in Poland, to meet the demands of new enterprise customers.
Lastly, we've established a PoP in Tallinn at Greenergy DC, serving a new IP Transit customer and establishing a presence in one of the largest and most sustainable data centers in the Baltics, known for its outstanding energy efficiency and highest certification standards.

RETN Strengthens Network Diversity with New Budapest to Sofia Route via Romania

We've completed the second phase Budapest to Sofia ring, establishing 100% network diversity from Budapest to Sofia via Romania. The new route, Budapest BIX - Timisoara - Sofia Equinix SO2, spans 1080 kilometers and complements the previously announced Budapest Dataplex - Belgrade - Sofia Telepoint, with cutting-edge equipment and improved capacity.

By completing this new route, RETN is offering the latest generation Layer 1 capacity services, including 400G, to customers with high-availability and 100% diverse fibre routes. This will greatly benefit organisations and enterprises in the region, allowing them to expand their operations and grow their businesses with the assurance of high-quality network services.
